“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all
the days of my life.” (Psalm 23:6)
This week’s
reading: Psalm 23
King David
begins this psalm with a very forwarding looking outlook towards life with
Christ. “The Lord is my Shepherd, I (shall) not be in want.” It involves faith
in the Lord to provide for his every need and is heavily infused with
thanksgiving. Thanksgiving in the simple things in life that bring restoration
to the soul. Giving thanks to the Lord and to those around you will change your
life and your perspective of it. “Surely the goodness and love of the Lord will
follow you all the days of your life!”
まことに、私のいのちの日の限り、いつくしみと恵みとが、私を追ってくるでしょう。

今週の聖書個所：詩編23
この詩編の冒頭の節で、ダビデ王はキリストとともに歩む人生を遠く先まで見通しています。
｢主は私の羊飼い、私は乏しいことがありません（英語では何も欲しがることはない）。｣
そこには必要を全て満たしてくださる主に対する信仰が伴います。そして多くの感謝が注がれて
いるのです。その感謝は、魂に回復をもたらす小さな事どもへ向けられています。
神様とあなたの周りにいる人たちに感謝することで、あなたの人生も、人生への見方も変わるの
です。｢まことに、私のいのちの日の限り、いつくしみと恵みとが、私を追ってくるでしょう！｣
