父よ。お願いします。あなたがわたし下さったものをわたしのいる所にわたしといっしょにおらせてください。あなたがわたしを世の始まる前から愛しておられたためにわたしに下さったわたしの栄光を、彼らが見るようになるためです。（ヨハネ１７：２４） ｢あなたがたは、わたしをだれだといいますか。｣シモン・ペテロが答えて言った。｢あなたは、生ける神の子キリストです。｣（マタイ１６：１５、１６） イエス様の大いなる祈りには、あなたにどんな時も、毎日全てのことに神様の恵みを見出してほしいという願いがこめられています。それこそがキリストにある人生なのです。それは父と子と聖霊と一体となった人生です。そしてそれがビジョンと栄養となって、全ての信者に対する全ての召しが生み出されるのです。 神様の恵みのビジョンから目を外した瞬間、あなたの人生において与えられた神様の霊的な召しが単なる宗教的な働きに変わり最後には退屈になり、疲れ果ててしまうこというリスクが生じます。神様から与えられたビジョンが目の前にある働きに微妙に変化するのです！あなたはイエス様の祈りを生きていますか？他の人たちがもっぱら働きをすることに集中している時、あなたはどのようにイエス様の｢あなたがたは、わたしをだれだといいますか｣という質問に答えますか？
Father, I want those you
have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have
given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.” (John 17:24)
“But what about you? Jesus asked. “Who do you say I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You
are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.” (Matthew 16:15,16)
It is Jesus’ great prayer
and desire for you to see His glory in all things and at all times of the day.
This is life in Christ. A life in unity with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
It is the vision and sustenance that gives birth to every calling upon every
Believer.
The moment that you take
your eyes off the vision of God’s glory; is the moment that you risk turning
God’s spiritual calling upon your life into religious work that ends in
drudgery and burnout. The subtle shift from divine vision to the mission at
hand! Are you living out the prayer of Jesus today? When every else is focused
solely upon the mission, how will you respond to Jesus’ question, “But what
about you? Who do you say I am?”
