確かに、からだはただ一つの器官ではなく、多くの器官から成っています。・・・たとい、耳が、「私は目ではないから、からだに属さない。」と言ったところで、そんなことでからだに属さなくなるわけではありません。もし、からだ全体が目であったら、どこで聞くのでしょう。もし、からだ全体が聞くところであったら、どこでかぐのでしょう。
しかしこのとおり、神はみこころに従って、からだの中にそれぞれの器官を備えてくださったのです。(コリント人への第一の手紙12章14-18節)

Now the body (of Christ) is not made up of
one part but of many…And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do
not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be a part of the
body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the
whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has
arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to
be.

Diversity in the Body of Christ is by God’s
design and stated as a fact that overrides our personal reasons for choosing
not to play a part in the life of the church. As a Believer in Christ, you play
a vital role in His work inside the church and in the world around you. Never,
